Caddo Lake is the only natural lake in Texas

Plot

When an 8-year-old girl disappears on Caddo Lake, a series of deaths and disappearances from the past begin to connect, changing the history of a broken family. There is a scene where Anna’s mother says Marshall County and later says Harrison County. Marshall is the county seat of Harrison County, Texas. Never Change written by Dylan Altman, Rodney Clawson & Jake Mitchell Played by Rodney Clawson.

However, the way they pull it off is pretty impressive

Once you understand what’s going on, the story itself isn’t exactly groundbreaking after the fact. I don’t think people give enough thought to the degree of coordination required to apply rhythm and tone to any film, especially when you throw in special effects and lighting that can depend on the time of day. This film does all of this flawlessly and creates an almost tactile momentum that carries you along. While I wasn’t surprised by what ended when it did, I never looked for it or had it in my mind until it was over.

Dylan O’Brien stands out

This is usually a clear sign of storytelling competence. The last scene felt a bit empty to me, for reasons I can’t explain. Perhaps a clearer angle of Celeste’s final, telling look would have corrected this, but that’s just a stray thought, not an honest criticism. The acting was on point for everyone involved.

I’ve seen his work before, but this really let him shine

Lauren Ambrose also sells the manic/disturbed persona and just became that persona. Eliza Scanlen never failed to tell me what was happening on screen. Talents like this make you lose yourself in whatever is on display and that is always appreciated. Great watch.
