Plot

The untold story of the origin of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies, but who were once friends bound as brothers who changed the fate of Cybertron forever. Chris Hemsworth, Keegan-Michael Key, Brian Tyree Henry and director Josh Cooley debate the true identity of the Transformers and share what got them excited about their trip to Cybertron.. The original name Megatron D-16 is a reference to the Japanese serial number of the original Generation 1 toy Megatron released by Takara in 1984. The letter D stands for Destron, the Japanese name for the Decepticons used in older media, while the number 16 marked the original Megatron toy as the sixteenth release in the Japanese toy line. When the Iacon 5000 contestants race transformed, the purple Transformer jet already has a pair of red light effects floating behind its back, attached to nothing, before it transforms into a jet.

There are two scenes in the credits that are worth staying for. One is in the middle of the credits and features Badassitron and the other is about Megatron at the end of the credits. Several international releases of the film (including the UK) are edited to cut out Orion’s “finger transformation”; seconds earlier, as well as changing any mention of Bee’s "knife hands" refer to them as "sword hands" instead. My wife and I watched Transformers One (2024) in theaters last night. The story follows two lesser Transformers on Cybertron who want to help their leader find “The Matrix,” a powerful artifact that could restore energy to their people, end their reliance on mining, and possibly change the course of their future. As they search for the Matrix, they uncover secrets from their past and discover that not everything is as it seems, and the dark truth about Cybertron could change existence as they know it. This film is directed by Josh Cooley (Toy Story 4) and features the voices of Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Brian Tyree Henry (Bullet Train), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Keegan-Michael Key (Wonka), Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk) Empire) and Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix).

We thoroughly enjoyed it

Transformers One is a great new direction for the franchise. The animation is top notch and the character dynamics, dialogue and voice cast are spot on. The story takes clever twists and turns as the heroes discover their true selves, their abilities, and how they fit into the larger Transformers universe. The chemistry between the characters is fantastic and once the transformation starts the movie really takes off. The movie features clever subplots and two epic final battles that were fantastic.

I would give it a score of 8-85/10 and highly recommend it

In conclusion, Transformers One is a fantastic reboot of the series and I hope it will have many sequels.
