The Penguin, makes a move to take over the criminal underworld in Gotham

Plot

After the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, a.k.a. Except for the Bat-signal in the final shot of the season finale, we never got our Robert Pattinson cameo in “The Penguin.” In this short video, IMDb attempts to answer: where the hell was Batman?. Colin Farrell fought hard to have his version of The Penguin smoke tobacco in The Batman (2022), but was unsuccessful. In his own series, however, the character is depicted as an occasional tobacco user, with a preference for cigars.

So, the first episode is over and it was excellent

The DC Studios logo is set in a rainy Gotham alley. An umbrella falls and the logo changes to the Warner Bros. logo. Featured in Graham Norton likes: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024).

This is a New York mobster, a wise guy

I have never seen Farell so invested in a character. I mean yeah, he wears a fat suit but you would never know it. His attitude, body language, voice make you immerse yourself in the character and see only Penguin. He has no relation to any of the other live TV penguins, Burgess Meredith or Robin Lord Taylor.

He is a Scorsese mobster but without the florid language. The plot is simple, similar to Lord Taylor’s Penguin in the CW’s Gotham. Penguin is a middleman in a mob organization. He has done his time so far, slowly climbing the mob and then with the effects of the Riddler blowing up the city’s sea wall and the death of his boss in that movie, he sees a chance to move.

Very funny and highly recommended
