This will mark the third attempt at a television series based on the world of Okrutne namjere (1999)

Plot

After a hazing incident at their elite college, half-siblings Caroline and Lucien decide to preserve their power and reputation by seducing the daughter of the Vice President of the United States. The direct-to-video sequel Okrutne namjere 2 (2000), starring Amy Adams replacing Sarah Michelle Gellar as Kathryn Merteuil, was originally a scripted TV series before being re-edited into a feature film. Gellar would later reprise the role of Kathryn in 2016 for the NBC pilot Cruel Intentions (2016), which was not ordered to series.

I was annoyed by the characters

I also watched the numerous sequels after that. They all had one good thing in common: IT DIDN’T DRAG. The Greek system was a nice touch but, GOOD!

And no, I don’t just mean the many character flaws they are supposed to have

I don’t want to watch 8 hours of the same scenario over and over again in a different package for each episode and that’s what’s happening. This could be a great miniseries or limited series, but 8 episodes with the possibility of a season 2?? Where.
