Plot
It follows Catherine Ravenscroft, a TV documentary journalist whose work is based on exposing the wrongdoings of long-respected institutions. Gary Oldman was rumored to be cast, but was replaced by Kevin Kline. A complex drama that explores human character, an emotional drive that often overrides logic and reason. The director sometimes over-dramatizes certain behaviors, deliberately exaggerating them, probably to emphasize his point that among the many shades of gray of what we call human nature, there are very simple motives and very instinctive behaviors that guide us. Cats seem to be there for balance and simplicity. But yes, it takes some patience and you have to wait for the last episodes to see that it’s really "the book" is fiction. But just as people on the show were quick to judge Katherine, many viewers here were quick to call out "plot holes" immediately after the 2nd ep
